Hutchings Collection

The following black and white photographs are reproduced from negatives that are the property of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hutchings. The date of the photographs is unknown. The stained glass windows in the south wall of the chancel and the position of the font near the porch entrance suggest a date post 1949.

The keen observer will notice the changes in the church since these photographs were taken. The chancel floor has been raised to the same level as the high altar. This meant that the reading desk no longer fitted in front of the chancel arch (north side).

The choir stalls have been removed, and the font has been moved.
